Dear Students, Teachers and Parents,
Warm wishes to all of you on the Foundation Day-2025 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
The extraordinary journey of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which began in 1963 with just 20 regimental schools, has transformed into a vast network of 1,289 Kendriya Vidyalayas, illuminating the nation with the light of exceptional education.
Dr D Manjunath
Deputy Commissioner
Message Warm Greetings to all Students, Teachers, Parents and all stakeholders! At the outset I extend a happy and successful new academic year 2025-2026 which begins from 01 April 2025. It is with immense pride and satisfaction that I address you all through this platform. The Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in the Ernakulam Region continue to thrive and excel, thanks to the bright and sincere students who bring laurels through their academic achievements and co-curricular excellence, as well as the dedicated and hardworking teachers who guide them tirelessly. Our Kendriya Vidyalayas have established themselves as exemplary centres of education, fostering holistic development and nurturing values that shape our students into ideal citizens of the nation. We take pride in ensuring that learning goes beyond textbooks, instilling in our students a deep sense of responsibility, creativity, and resilience. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the National Curriculum Frameworks (NCF) 2022 and 2023, and the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) mission under NIPUN Bharat, Kendriya Vidyalayas have successfully adopted competency-based learning strategies. These approaches are designed to ensure the acquisition of essential skills and competencies while promoting positive attitudinal changes across various stages of student development. As we embark on another promising academic year, I extend my best wishes to all the students. May this year be filled with enriching experiences, meaningful learning, and noteworthy accomplishments. I also seek the continued cooperation and unwavering support of all stakeholders—parents, teachers, and the community—as we work together to achieve our shared vision of excellence. Wishing you all a successful and fulfilling academic year ahead! (Dr D Manjunath) Deputy Commissioner KVS, Ernakulam Region
